* There's a lot of exciting news this month on the Element Eco-Front!  First, we're thrilled to introduce you to our ECO-HEROES, people taking an extra step or two in their own lives to further the eco-cause. Inspired by stories shared by some of our own customers, we'll highlight several new ECO-HEROES each month. Somewhere between a major step like launching an eco-business and a simple step like taking a recycled bag to the store lies the ECO-HERO--regular folks who've done something a little more to help promote a sustainable future. The Eco-Heroes and our Founder's Blog will be up some time in May!
*Any day now, our Sales & Specials section will be open. Look for slightly off-print tees at a deep discount, a weekly special on one men's and one women's style, close-out items, and more!
*Also, in an effort to promote Element EcoWear and a sustainable future, our founder will be showing up soon in a campaign that combines the Sports Illustrated body painted swimsuit concept with the PETA "I'd rather go naked than wear fur' campaign, using an Element EcoWear twist: "I'd rather go naked than wear conventional cotton". The campaign will feature our founder, Dallas, painted with a design made by Yiying Lu, the creator of Twitter's 'Fail Whale'.
Says Dallas, "I'm a little nervous about it, actually.I don't want to alienate any customers, and I wouldn't normally do this... but with the recession, interest in organic products has greatly declined. I understand the financial concerns (hence the low mark-up on EE clothing), but if people buy even one t-shirt this year and make it organic, even that would have a huge impact." MAY 2010:
*And finally, we'll be showing more photos soon of real people wearing our eco-clothing! (Amanda, at left, wears our Classic Feather Tee in spring green, and our Everything Jeans.) Would you like your photo posted, or do you know an Eco-Hero? Write or send a photo of yourself in EE clothing to our founder, at: Dallas@ElementEcoWear.com
